New Franchisee Niall Austin
Snack in the Box Franchise Success: Niall Austin
“The support from everyone has been first class. Great company and great people.”
Niall Austin has recently joined the Snack in the Box family as a new franchisee for Suffolk. Starting at a time of the year that can be challenging for many businesses, he has already made strong progress in his first couple of months. It’s clear that good training, hands-on guidance, and ongoing support can make all the difference.
A confident start with the right training
Niall found the onboarding process reassuring and straightforward to follow. The hands-on training gave him confidence early on, especially when it came to using the machines and keeping track of stock on a day-to-day basis.
Once he got the hang of it, he realised the machines were much simpler to manage than he’d expected. Being able to change parts and keep everything running smoothly took away a lot of those first-week nerves. Knowing the team in Rugby was always there to offer advice or a helping hand made a big difference, too. It meant he could get on with the job, confident that support was only a call away.
Early signs of progress
Even in those first couple of weeks, sales were looking promising. Some machines that had not performed as well previously were beginning to improve. Niall’s proactive engagement with his customers has no doubt been a major contributing factor in driving that increase.
A number of sites also brought in a wider mix of products, and the reaction from customers was instantly positive. Customers were really excited by the new choices, and seeing that response first-hand gave Niall real confidence that there’s plenty of room for growth moving forward. These early results suggest that with the right focus on staffing patterns and stocking levels, performance will continue to improve.
Building relationships that matter
Right from the start, Niall has made a point of being present and reliable. Regular visits to sites quickly made a difference, with customers responding well to improved communication and reliable service.
Rather than just doing the basics, Niall has taken the time to build relationships. That extra effort has helped customers feel more confident and better supported.
Looking ahead
Niall is pleased with the progress made so far and remains positive about the future. His long-term goal is to continue building momentum and secure a place among the top ten franchisees.
He’s also quick to credit the Snack in the Box team for making the transition smooth.
“The support from everyone has been first class. Great company and great people.”
With a strong support network behind him and the right mindset in place, Niall’s Snack in the Box journey in Suffolk is off to a promising and confident start.
